  5. Malaysian’s Can Now Grow Marijuana

Malaysian’s can now grow marijuana, put only after Health Ministry has granted permission to do so. The marijuana grown in Malaysia can only be for medical and research purposes, not recreational use at this time.

Jeffrey Zorn, CEO of the world’s leading marijuana college, Cannabis Training University, was quoted as saying “This is a big step for Malaysia. Although only for medical purposes at this time, it is a step in the right direction and hopefully recreational cannabis laws will soon be passed there as well.”

The Ministry of Health will provide careful supervision over where marijuana is grown and by whom.

Even though Malaysian’s can now grow marijuana in Malaysia, the country still has a long way to go until it starts to see the tax benefits the legalization of marijuana will provide.

According to an Astro Awani report, National Anti-Drugs Agency director-general Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdullah said there was room in the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for the cultivation of cannabis for said purposes, with the condition that prior permission is obtained.

He added that its cannabis cultivation in Malaysia should be strictly controlled so it is not misused for other purposes.

According to Zulkifli, he had read news of Malaysians who had a thriving cannabis oil business overseas.

According to a Berita Harian report, Malaysians residing in the United Kingdom successfully manufactured CBD oil (Cannabidiol) from cannabis sativa for medicinal use.

They were also able to obtain a license to market their CBD product in other countries in the European Union.

Medical marijuana is legal in some way or another in 30 countries at this time, including: United States, Canada, Australia, Chile, Columbia, Cyprus, Finland, Germany, Greece, Israel, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Poland and Thailand.

The use of marijuana as a medicine has been found to be effective in the treatment of many medical problems including PTSD, Glaucoma, Chron’s Disease, Spasticity, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s Disease, Epilepsy, Depression, Chronic Pain, Schizophrenia, Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Appetite Stimulation, and more.

Those interested in learning more about marijuana as a medicine and cannabis laws should consider enrolling in an Online Cannabis School.
