  5. World’s Best Weed Chocolate Recipe

Here is the simplest weed chocolate recipe. Without a doubt, it is safe to say that weed chocolate is the best cannabis-infused food ever! Everyone loves it. We know that most people who prefer consuming cannabis as edibles instead of smoking or vaping are mainly looking for subtle and effective ways to enjoy marijuana. Well, cannabis-infused chocolate or chocolate edibles give just that, and even more!

To begin with, cannabis is an all-time essential herb that has been around for centuries. Cannabis has been used in primitive, conservative, and new ways to deliver amazing benefits to humanity. Besides the fact that it has a psychoactive effect, it is well known for fantastic therapeutic effects.

Chocolate, on the other hand, is equally an all-time favorite. Everyone loves chocolates. No wonder it finds its way into candies, cakes, puddings, biscuits, snacks, and a host of other delicious treats we have out there. Like cannabis, chocolate has been around for many years, even before civilization became a thing.

Chocolate has served as food, medicine, and an aphrodisiac to man. Many people also consider it a stimulant with many health benefits, mostly when consumed in moderation. Now, talk about the combination of these two — cannabis and chocolate. Not many food combinations can match the combined effect of cannabis and chocolate.

In this piece, we'll be going over an easy recipe for making cannabis-infused chocolate. While you can easily walk into dispensaries within your locality to purchase canna-chocolates, it is certainly a wonderful idea to know how to make weed chocolate at home.

The Recipe — How to Make the Best Weed Chocolate

When making weed edibles, remember that the effect of cannabis usually kicks in much later after consumption. So you want to go easy on the dosage. As always, start low and go slow. Depending on your tolerance and preference, you can add more cannabis to each serving of the chocolate bar. Additionally, note that the process is split into two distinct phases.

First, we prepare our cannabis and chocolate separately; thereafter, we mix the two and store or serve the final product.

Ingredients and materials needed:

Here are the ingredients and materials/tools you'll need.

  • 3-5 grams cannabis
  • 80-100 grams of dark chocolate

And,

  • A hand grinder
  • Glass bowl
  • Water
  • Stove
  • Saucepan
  • Chocolate molds of your preference

Directions

As with other processes for making edibles, the very first thing to do is to decarboxylate. Ideally, decarboxylation is a prime aspect of the entire process, without which the rest of your efforts will amount to a waste of time. This is because the active ingredient in weed (THC) becomes active once decarboxylation occurs. Also, this step prepares your weed for the absorption process.

To decarb cannabis, preheat the oven to 245°F, then place the cannabis on a cookie sheet and place in over for 30 minutes. Add water into the saucepan, then place the glass bowl on top of the saucepan. Heat the water in the saucepan until it begins to simmer. Now, add your chocolate into the glass bowl, and stir occasionally.

If possible, break the chocolate bar into smaller bits to make the process faster. As the steam gently heats the chocolate, you'll notice a smooth and creamy viscous liquid forming inside the bowl.

By this time, the weed should be fully decarboxylated. Next, grind the decarbed weed using the hand grinder. Note that it is possible to grind your weed before heating, just as it is okay to grind after heating. What's most important is ensuring that the weed gets properly heated to activate the THC in it.

Add the finely-ground cannabis to the chocolate and mix thoroughly. Make sure there are no lumps in the chocolate. Once you're sure that the chocolate has combined well with your cannabis, you can turn off the heat and pour the cannabis-infused chocolate into the chocolate mold. Allow it to cool for a few minutes. If you do not have a chocolate mold, you can use ice cube trays.

At this point, you've gone more than 95% of the process. Normally, air bubbles will be trapped inside the molds. To let them out, simply tap the bottom of the molds on the kitchen countertop or any tabletop repeatedly. Also, try not to overfill the molds.

Finally, place the weed chocolates in the fridge to let them cool and harden. After about 15 minutes, they should be set and ready to be served. Take out the chocolate bars from the molds and enjoy!

Tips and Tricks For Making the Best Weed Chocolate

  • Be sure to always use the best chocolate you can find. Most people use dark chocolate as it has a higher level of cocoa in it.
  • Do not throw your marijuana into the mix like that. As mentioned earlier, always decarb the weed before mixing. This applies to any other kind of edibles.
  • Make sure your cannabis is well-ground. That way, it can absorb the chocolate better and faster.
  • Try switching things up a bit. While this recipe is a great one, we encourage you to add in other spices or additives that will make the final product much more appealing. After all, the idea is to enjoy it. Suggestions include cranberries, orange zest, and almonds.
  • Remember that you typically won't feel your marijuana until up to 2 hours after ingesting it. So try lower doses first and don't take too many chocolate bars at a time.
